Great Buy June 13, 2010 LJB (Manchester, TN USA) Purchased for a 30 ft camper. Had no problem like other reviews about sound. It was great, but granted it is a small area. We were pleasantly surprised at the picture and color quality. Wish they had another at this price. We'd buy it. Since it was refurbished, they sent another universal remote that worked just as well and met our needs. Well packaged for shipment. GOOD BUY!
RUN AWAY... DO NOT BUY! May 2, 2010 Heather D. Diller (ATL) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
They shipped the product without a power cord.
Then after 2 weeks they sent me the wrong cord.
I have phone customer service 5 times and 1 month later still no cord.
I spent $8 at a local retailer to get the correct cord but should one have to do this when you are buying a new TV?
RUN AWAY customer no service from this manufacture!!!!
Great price April 25, 2010 P. D. Kline (Ohio) Good picture quality and sound. Not used to a small tv, but fits the space well. Amzing price. I am still pleased about this purchase!
You Get What You Pay For, Both Good & Bad March 26, 2010 LeRoy Spielberg IV (Seattle WA Un-United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had been thinking of buying this TV for a few weeks, and finally purchased it after not being able to tolerate my standard definition TV any longer. The deal was sealed when I went to Fred Meyers's and saw smaller 720p TV's at the same price point and the associate I talked to said that 1080p really didn't matter. Needless to say, I left the store empty handed. I was originally going to get it from Walmart's site, but I saw it for ten bucks less and free shipping on here. After taking it out the box and getting the settings to my liking, I'm satisfied with the TV. My Xbox 360 games look great, and even the standard DVD's have a crispness to them not possible on my old TV.
The only major flaw is the lack of inputs. I had a universal S-Video cable for my regular Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2, so now I have to purchase three separate component cables and will have to manually change to cords from the consoles and my cable box to the TV. Kinda sucks. The lack of audio outputs or even a headphone jack is also a bummer, but I plug all of my audio directly into my surround sound, so it's not a major issue.
All in all, I'd recommend this TV to anyone who hasn't made the jump to HD. It weighs next to nothing and looks outstanding in my bedroom. It might even be good for someone with a small living room. Full 1080p for [...] bucks is a steal.
Not happy with this March 26, 2010 InformedCitizen (Tennessee) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The controls are very difficult to find and work with, including the power button. Should only be used if you plan on setting it up one time and never making changes- like switching sources or brightness. Does not work well with PC input- will not show any resolution that is not stretched in one direction or another. Maxes out at 1024x800 on my vista computer and 1400x900 on my windows 7 machine. There is no tech support help on the website. When I called tech support number found in the rather sketchy product manual, it sounded like a part-time mom (could hear kids in the background) who stumbled over terminology. She was looking through the manual just like I was to determine the cause of my issue. Ridiculous. By the way, the 'E' fell off the logo as I pulled it out of the box. I cannot recommend Viore at all.
